Probably known more today by fans for his off court antics, bizarre behavior and eccentric lifestyle, basketball legend Dennis Rodman was inducted into the Basketball Hall Of Fame. Giving an emotional speech, Rodman was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Friday night.

In his career Rodman was known for his defensive hustle, which was later accompanied by his rebounding prowess. Rodman was so versatile that he could guard centers, forwards or guards equally well and won two NBA Defensive Player of the Year Awards while a member of the Detroit Pistons. On the hardwood, he was recognized as one of the most successful defensive players ever, winning the NBA Championship five times in six NBA Finals appearances, the final three coming with the Chicago Bulls playing alongside NBA greats Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. A 7 time All-Defensive First Team selection, 2 time NBA All-Star and 7 time rebounding champion; Rodman finished the latter part of his NBA career with not so memorable seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks.

In 14 NBA seasons, Rodman played for 5 NBA teams (Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks) in 911 games, scored 6,683 points and grabbed 11,954 rebounds, translating to 7.3 points and 13.1 rebounds per game in only 31.7 minutes played per game.NBA.com lauds Rodman as “arguably the best rebounding forward in NBA history and one of the most recognized athletes in the world” but adds “enigmatic and individualistic, Rodman has caught the public eye for his ever-changing hair color, tattoos and unorthodox lifestyle”.

Check out the full speech below:

Congrats to a NBA legend that would, as Diddy would say “mind f*ck”, some of the best NBA players with his unorthodox defensive style and play. I leave you with one of Rodman’s most classic battles against fellow Hall of Famer Karl Malone on and off of the court.

Enjoy lol
